2026 Valentine's Day Buying Guide

Bell and trunk
“Say you’ll never let me go.”
— The Chainsmokers

Hi friends,

Valentine’s Day is almost here, and I wanted to pop into your inbox before the rush really begins.

This day gets a lot of attention for romantic love, but what I see in the shop every year is something bigger—flowers going to parents, kids, friends, neighbors, teachers, and sometimes to ourselves. Small gestures that say I appreciate of you.

If flowers are part of how you like to show love, now’s a great time to order. Valentine’s week fills up quickly, and pre-ordering helps us make sure everything is beautiful, fresh, and thoughtfully made—just the way you want it.

Thank you, as always, for supporting this small, local florist. Every order truly means the world to me, especially during a season that’s all about love and connection.

xo,

Vanessa

Valentine's Day Roses: Bell and Trunk updates classic romance with modern texture, moving beyond baby's breath to incorporate lush greens like geranium and eucalyptus, unique accents such as leucadendron and hypericum berries, and sophisticated ombre color palettes, offering a whimsical yet timeless choice for romantics seeking updated elegance.

Valentine's Day Roses

The Garden Inspired: Inspired by the wild beauty of a flourishing garden, this whimsical arrangement features a romantic mix of seasonal blooms arranged with an emphasis on organic shape and flowing movement. The design avoids a formal look, instead allowing each stem to appear as naturally placed as it would in a garden bed.

The Garden Inspired

The Sweetheart:  This design is characterized by delicate, soft, and romantic elements, often using flowers in pastel hues and featuring intricate, layered petals. The description "like a delicious confection" alludes to its lush appearance, likely full of blooms that resemble the ruffles and swirls of a delicate dessert or cake decoration.

The Sweetheart

The Romantic: Lush petals, deep hues and sensual shapes define this bold and sexy floral arrangement. When you want to send blooms that wholeheartedly say, "You're the one", we will fill your vase with richly colored roses paired with light and dark floral accents along with a gentle touch of greenery to create a bouquet your lover will forever remember.

The Romantic

The Festive Centerpiece: A low, lush centerpiece in springy, romantic colors features a variety of blooms that cascade slightly over the edge of a glass or ceramic vase. The design is "low" enough to ensure guests can easily converse across the table.

The Festive Centerpiece

The Seasonal: This earthy choice is crafted for the soul who finds wonder in the simple magic of colorful buds popping from fresh soil after a spring rain. We celebrate all blooms, provided they are fresh, fragrant, and in vibrant full bloom. Our seasonal arrangements are an artful dance of warm and cool tones—sometimes playful, always polished with intriguing textures and delightful accents.

Bouquets to Art

This year, we submitted a special request to the Bouquets to Art Floral Exhibitors Committee at the de Young Museum: a piece from the prestigious George and Dorothy Saxe Collection

This selection holds deep personal significance for us. It continues a creative journey that began with the "mini Bouquets to Art" we designed for the wedding of Melissa Blaustein and David Saxe at the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art in Napa. Both Melissa and David are prominent patrons of the arts, and David’s grandparents, George and Dorothy, promised a significant series of works to the museum's permanent collection.

We are honored to have been paired with The Lightness of Being #4 by Howard Ben Tré, a stunning cast glass and bronze sculpture.
